WNB ITA Holding » ITA MAJOR SHAREHOLDER in trouble?
Re: ITA MAJOR SHAREHOLDER in trouble?
I agree with you. There is nothing wrong with WNB Italian Lands. They are doing very well so far, and have a great plan.

For the record, right now I own 100,000 shares of ITA stock, and I feel they are currently undervalued. I'm not selling any.

Transfer of ITA Stock Shares
Hello Everyone :-)

As many of you have already known, Investor Merlin purchased a large amount of ITA shares for me (with my Lindens) back in September, 2007. Since the failure of his bank in October 2007 (Merlin's Investment Bank), along with his apparant leaving of Second Life under his Investor Merlin avatar, I have been working with SLCapex to have the shares in question transferred to me.

After almost two months, the transferr has finally happened, and has been approved by SLCapex. I wish to thank everyone involved.

So now that I officially own over 1 million shares of ITA, what does this mean? It means that I am not selling one share in the forseeable future. I really believe in what Alecx Writer and everyone else is doing at WNB Italian Lands, and that the stock is really under priced. I believe in what they are doing, which is why I wanted to invest so much into the company. I'm in this for the long term. I suggest everyone do the same if they want to make a lot of Lindens :-)

So if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. Go ITA!

WNB ITA Holding » SHOW TIME
Re: SHOW TIME
I agree. I would like an update as to the progress of Second italia, as well as the rest of the WNB Group.

Today I visited the two WNB regions. I noticed the "new" sim is about 1/3rd full already, and it appears there is a nice profit for lots sold. This is a good sign. Land sales have been soft lately, but for WNB to be able to still sell these "luxury" lots makes me happy :-) I wouldn't be surprised that if after the new year they add more sims,....

I hope I can make the next shareholders meeting.

General Investment Discussion » Update & slightly different LL Conversation
Re: Update & slightly different LL Conversation
Re: Reply to Sheila6225 Allen

This is what I sent to Linden Labs:

I operate Crystal Springs Land & Loan Corporation, a fictitious company which accepted savings deposits and certificates of deposit to customers within Second Life. My track record and reputation was spotless.

Within 8 hours of Second Life's decision to ban ATM's/objects which pay interest, I paid back 2 million Lindens to my customers through my main and alt avatars. For the record, I now have no objects that pay residents interest on any investment.

I wish Second Life would have given us prior notice that this decision could be coming down. It has caused a worse situation than the gambling ban because it's causing a run on all financial institutions in Second Life, not just banks.

First, I wish to know what are the exact requirements to legally do banking in Second Life. Please tell me what the process is for Bank Registration, so we may possibly continue to operate again.

Second, I wish to know if giving loans directly to avatars (not through any object) is also banned. Loans were not mentioned at all in the announcement, and I wish to know if I may continue to loan avatars so they can buy land in Second Life.

Finally, I wish to know if fictional stock exchanges are going to be allowed to continue to operate. My company is in the process of being listed on a fictional stock exchange, and I need clarification if I am breaking any Linden Labs rules on that as well.

Please reply as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Skip Oceanlane

This was my reply 50 minutes later from TJ Linden:

Hi Skip,

I've done some research on this, and these are the best answers I can give you at the moment:

On the question of prior notice, we made this information available basically as soon as the decision was made. I don't know if there is any way we could have pre-notified bank owners, but in any case, once the information was made available to anyone in SL, it would quickly have spread.

As far as what would be required to do banking in SL legitimately, from the blog:

"We will not apply this policy to companies who submit a registration statement, charter, or other applicable license from a governing regulatory authority, or who are merely conducting marketing or education, but not accepting payments."

At the moment, we are not aware of any banks meeting these criteria doing business in Second Life.

From the wording of the policy, loaning L$ to an avatar directly (i.e. in person, not through an object) does not appear to violate the policy. I cannot say for certain whether it is intended to cover that situation as well, only that the policy as written at the moment does not prohibit this activity. My personal impression is that interest-free loans are a non-issue and that while personal loans for interest may be an issue addressed later, they are currently not prohibited, nor have I been informed of any plans to expand the policy to cover this situation.

So there you have it folks. Yet again, a different answer from a different Linden from what I've seen in the past.

WNB ITA Holding » Second Italia Seems Busy
Second Italia Seems Busy
I just wanted to comment that it appears Second Italia is extremely busy on a constant basis. On more than one occasion I've seen 30+ people in the sim, with many stores rented in their commercial area. Since they have redone the sim, it looks like there are more people renting stores.

Also according to my map, about 3/4ths of Second Italia 2 is also sold. The only area still needing buyers would be the boat area.

I think overall in spite of what's been going on with the financial markets, the company's future appears to be solid. Anyone agree?

Re: Second Italia Seems Busy
Well, I have to agree with you there. I have found the best way to see how things are going is to just visit the sims myself. I think language is also a barrier,..I have offered to do press releases in English to better communicate what is going on. But then again, I know about as much as you do of the status of things,...the meeting last month was good, but having updates inbetween meetings would be very helpful and reassuring.

General Investment Discussion » Open source grids
Re: Open source grids
In reply to William Rustamova's post:

I have done some investigating about Central Grid over the last few weeks. While currently I see bugs and things that need improvement, I think it does have a bright future. Within the next few weeks, my company will start investing in it, and have a permanent presence there.

I feel Central Grid will allow more freedom in terms of business oprations, and perhaps allow for payments to be made for main SL grid operatons, without them being made on the main grid itself. Not sure exactly how Lindens would be floated back and forth, but that will be worked out in the long run.

Hopefully soon there will be full connectivity with the main grid.
