Due to demand, I have decide to just sell a few more shares of CAPX at L$8.20 per share. I figure the more shares on the market the better, and I'm willing to sacrifice the loss in the huge dividend I pay to further liquidity for CAPX shareholders.

A wrap-up of recently activity on Capital Exchange by CEO and Majority Shareholder Skip Oceanlane

Hello and welcome to the July Edition. I have many things going on with the exchange, as well as preparing for the Second Life Community Convention (SLCC) 2011 where I'm going to be a presenter, so this month's edition will be a little shorter than usual. I hope everyone that is going to SLCC 2011 in Oakland, California, USA will be attending the 1-hour presentation on Capital Exchange. Here are the details:

Anyone that is attending, please contact me. I’m trying to get a Friday night dinner together for all exchange CEO’s and shareholders attending. Contact me if you’re interested. As you may already know, Capital Exchange is a major sponsor of the event, and in addition to being a presenter we will also have a vendor table for general information available Saturday and Sunday. This will surely help spread the word. As a courtesy to all the listed companies, I am inviting them to send me a flyer (black and white 8 ½” by 11”) and I will place it on our table for people at the convention to take. This is just another incentive to be listed at CapEx. For those shareholders and CEO’s that cannot attend, you’ll be able to watch me live give the presentation at the link provided above. I hope to see many of you there.

So as for July, I am happy to report that once again we have had another tremendously successful month at Capital Exchange. We now have 34 actively traded companies, with Secondnights.com (SEC) currently doing their IPO. Fashion & Gadgets (FAG) remains halted, and I will ask that it be delisted in August. I tried to give CEO Lucky Raymaker a second chance after being inactive at the former International Stock Exchange. CEO Raymaker has signed on as recently as today, but is not replying to me. I’ll keep you all posted – anyone that knows her please contact her and ask what’s going on. On a positive note, I’d like to welcome the new companies of Black Swan Capital (BSC), Nintai Brokerage Corporation (NBC), Edmose Group (EDMO), and Galaxy Corporation (GXY). All these companies successfully completed their IPO’s in the supposedly SL slow month of July :-)

Trading volume for July stood at around L$11,000,000, which is absolutely fantastic considering this is summer! Many thanks to everyone that has made this one of the best July’s for any exchange in the history of SL exchanges. A majority of the trading volume this month has been for existing companies, which shows that it’s just not IPO/SPO volume carrying our high numbers. We now have 15,333 accounts, which means that in the last 40 days we gained about 330 new traders. This will be the key to our success for the future – getting new people involved. As I type this, the last 24-hour trading volume is L$166,000, with only L$750 IPO volume. Wow. Thank you everyone.

Capital Exchange will be paying a .10L per share dividend (L$152,000) either tomorrow or August 2nd. Between website advertising and increased share trading activity, things are going strong. The reduced Transaction Fee from 2.50% to 1.99% has not impacted us at all, as I expected. On the contrary - I believe it has fostered more trading activity overall, so I see it as "break even." Our future truly looks bright, and I should easily be able to keep my word of paying a .05L - .10L per share dividend every month. August should be a little slower in terms of trading volume and activity because even I will be away on vacations a lot. Even so, I will be online daily checking up on everything going on, so no need to worry. I still expect a profitable month.

As for new IPO’s/SPO’s coming up, Second Ads (ADS) was approved for their SPO to start in September. I also received 25 inquiries/applications for new companies recently. I am going to send 6 of them soon to the Capital Exchange Regulatory Commission (CERC) for approval. I believe these 6 new companies will help strengthen the exchange by providing new revenue, more traders, and more investment choices overall. I encourage everyone to post in the Forums their opinions about these new proposed listed companies. It’s my goal to have 50 companies listed by December, if I can find enough good companies to list. I’m optimistic this will happen.

Finally, please note that I have rented out a large portion of the Crystal Springs sim to Kafka Frugel for development. Anyone that is interested in office space, or land use space in the sim, should contact him. I only have a limited amount of space within the stock exchange HQ for offices, so if you need a lot of land and prims, Kafka might be able to help you out.

You read the headline correctly. In the last 7 days, Capital Exchange's website, slcapex.com, was ranked 54,727 in the world in terms of traffic visits. slcapex.com has a 3-month average of 98,926, and a 1-month average of 67,378. Wow.

What exactly does this mean? It means that as of today, there are only 54,726 more websites in the world that get more traffic than slcapex.com. Our website visitation has exploded due to the increase in new traders and companies listed. I am projecting 15 more companies will be listed by December, which will only increase our traffic and trading volume even more. This increased traffic also means that advertisers will be more interested in doing ads on the website, bringing in added revenue. With over 1,000 unique visitors a day visiting the website, we have an edge over all others. Anyone who wishes to advertise on the website, even for non-SL related services, please contact me.
