General Investment Discussion » Mulitable exchanges? Mulitable exchanges? |

I don't want to look at just Lindsey...I don't want to look like I'm picking on her, but with the recent listing on WSE, this did bring up a couple of questions. First, how many other companies here have listings elsewhere? I know a couple do....Just checking on others. To me, I think it's a good thing as long as the investors here know about them. Second, are the assets listed on the second exchange the same as the ones listed here for the same company? Now this I have a problem with. If two different listings uses the sames assets, then the value of the stock is lower, and this will cause problems if the company folds. Having two or more companies with totally different assets is fine with me, as long as their are no ties to either companies. However, at the introduction of the credit reporting agency tied to LNL, I feel that it's wrong for that company to be listed on a different being that it's a offshoot of LNL, and should LNL have problems, the assets can quickly be transferred, with no protection for the investor. Any thoughts? One more thing...sorry Lindsey, for picking on your company.. I sure that your company is legit, but it does serve as a perfect model for my question. And that's all it's being use for here..... I'm not saying anything bad against LNL....in fact, I plan on buy a few shares myself soon. :)

Thanks to both of you....glad to see what is happening, and leave me with a couple of new avenues for investing. However, I was just using LNL (and all of the others LL) as a model. My real concern is people opening different companies on different exchanges using the same assets....more to the question of what is being done to prevent this from happening? Or is this even a concern, being that this is a fictional game.....

HOLY COW!!! There's a SLEC? Where in the heck are they? As far as another list of companies, I really didn't think that there was one, just notice that you were listed on two exchanges, and this question came to mind. I read where you got taken, Lindsey, and your right. Now that I know that there is a governing organization within SL, it's time for those who lost money to WAKE THEM UP!!!!! Of course, there are ways to do this. One way is to monitor cash-flow transactions. In RL, this can be hard, but here in SL, it's not. Linden Labs could set up a watch for all companies, and take reports of fraud. In the end, they can freeze account until the matter is resolved. Second, we as shareholders, need FULL DISCLOSER on all persons with cooperations, which include full addresses and phones numbers, along with credit reports being done, along with background check. I know this is a lot to ask, but it sure would cut down the amount of outright fraud if one day a shareholder can come to their front door. The third thing I can think of right now is a reporting of suspected fraud to the SLEC. Now, I am sure they have a box or person to talk to when a person have a complaint....right now, I don't know where it or they are. This location, if it exist, should be made fully visible on the main page on ALL exchanges. Once a complaint is made, they should take a look at what is going on, and if fraud is suspected, freeze assets of that company, and inform the exchange. These are just some ideal I currently have.

Risk Factors The biggest risk is that SL disappears overnight, another company puts out a better platform, or people just decide SL isn’t the thing to do anymore, although this is a very small risk. Another risk people often ask me about is LL implementing age verification, when this happens we will simply ask all advertisers and escorts to change their pictures to non-explicit images. We are a resort with rooms for rent, and although we cater to sex trade workers, as long as there are not explicit images or gory images on the parcel, we don’t need to flag it and thus prevent access. We will continue to stay open to all. Lastly is the risk that this may just not take off, it could fail. With that said, I am fairly confident this will not happen. As I said earlier, the sex trade industry in SL is huge. With a solid initial advertising campaign to draw in traffic, daily events, and reoccurring classifieds with refined keywords I do not anticipate any issues in driving traffic. We offer a superb environment and amenities at an extremely competitive rate. I decided to copy this from the Prospectus for XXX when it was offered, and nothing to say about real life interfering......very interesting indeed. But after reading everything in this forum about this deal, I decided that the investors who didn't do their homework deserve the bloody nose they just got. Next time a person opens a IPO, make sure they have a equal amount of cash invested before you decide to give them 51.1% of the shares. That action in itself was just plain stupid. Dimitris, looks like you might get away with your claim this time......but sooner or later these investors will stop investing into pipe-dreams, and start looking for good, profitable investments. Of course, even if they don't, I will. Of course, I doubt that the exchange will let you get away with it......or at least, maybe they will make sure that no-one else does. But I do love a sale, and to irritate people. I'll make my offer on what I think your shares are worth to me right here, right now. .25L/share----offer expires at 6:00 pm Central time today. I live just a little bit north of Dallas, TX. And I like the original idea of a open whorehouse. But I also think porn sales would go well there, along with a few toys shops for the more mature lovers out there... Now taking my offer would really piss everybody off here, which I think you have already done a pretty good job on your own.....but your dream would still be alive, the investors would have to deal with me as a owner.....and of course, I would grant the rank of CEO to the SL whore who gives out the freebies.......who better to run a whorehouse? And I think I've already picked out a madam for the job.......lol. I wait patiently for your reply. :)

Yea.....except the offer is real. And it serves everyone, if you think about it. The shareholders gets someone to run the joint. Dimitris get out of it, and a little more cash than what he had going into it.. And I get my freebies. Everyone wins. :-)

Understand that my offer is for everything. You will have to account for all expences, which I think you will have no problem at doing. Your dream will live, the share holders will be happy. And I do got a few ideas of my own, but I'll keep them to myself for now. And I'll even throw this in. For the first 90 days, we lock the shares into the corporation. I still receive the dividend off the shares, but will not be able to sell out, and leave. This will protect the sharesholders who have invested at the IPO stage. At the 90 day mark, 50% of the shares will become openly mine, to do as I want. The rest will be open to me at the rate of 25,000 shares per month, starting with the 1st of the following month after the 90 day point. But everything else will be mine. And I have control. It is now 3:23 Central time, which is 1:23 SLT. At 4:01 pm SLT, today, my offer will expire. Good luck on what you decide.

In the interest in being very open with this deal, I will post the following: at .25 a share, your offer would be 287,500 L$. i would be willing to accept this on the terms that along with your payment, i keep the current L$ reserve temptation has. you get the shares and all assets. assets would be the tropicaltemptations iwish avatar, the sim and all group owned objects on it, and full copy/transfer to the room management system i will not be online untill later this evening, and my IM's are capped always, so please drop me a notecard. Now for my answer. The reserves is a part of the whole show, and belong to the corporation. If the question is weather I run off with the reserves, my answer is that the reserves will be locked within the corporation, used for corporation needs only. With the level of scamming that's been going on, I wouldn't mind a different party keeping a watchful eye on the reserves. Further more, all assets must be accounted for. If for any reason you withdrew any part of the reserves, you better come clean about it now. Now, my offer is for a unconditional surrender. The terms of my offer will be discussed here in this forum, as I don't want private dealings to be a factor with the shareholders in weather or not I'm trustworthy. Plain out, in the open. In the interest of this deal, I will extend the deadline until 10:00 pm SLT. I will NOT extent it again.

As far as the reserves are concern, it's a simple mater of refunding the reserves the amount the is owed from the cash paid to you for the sale. This is done first, then the payment is made to you. If you have checked my profile, I've been here less than a month. I have bought my L$ from a outside sourse, and not sure how much more I can bring in without setting off the Risk API freezing my account. Does any one know how much you can bring in before it does? In the interest of being open, I currently hold the following shares: MECH 368 shares KDC 8,886 shares BBX 25,648 shares LNL 47,152 shares SLCX 100,000 shares SLR 250,000 shares These shares hold a current value of $258,638 L, and I think that with a buy orders around $5431. I will NOT sell these shares to finance this offer. This offer is straight out of my pocket, which is hard to collect so many lindens in a short amount of time. I figured it will take at least 2 weeks to buy enough lindens over time without the API freezing me. So if you accept, find someone to make a contract. The conditions set above are a must, and if the contract does NOT reflect the deal above, I will reserve the right to cancel. By the time the contract is drawn, and items transferred, payment will be available. A third party will be needed to finish this contract, because I'm not turning over a dime until ALL assets are in my name.(or any named avatar I got control over) All goes well, you will get PAID in 2 weeks.
