Since trading began, I have made a few share purchase and will continue to do so going forth. Any shares purchased above and beyond my initial holdings, plus 1% of my personal holdings will be transferred to this account as treasury shares to help rebuild the treasury. Thanks!

Why would anyone sell a stock that finished IPO less than 24 hours ago less than the IPO price? I just don't get it. What was the point of buying into the IPO if you are going to willingly take a loss before even giving the stock a chance?

Came across this on Avination

"I regret to tell you that banks are illegal in Avination and trading L$ to C$ is a controlled business; it would be illegal to try and establish an independent L$ to C$ trade.

Anyone found to be holding, trading, lending or paying interest on currency, taking investments inworld for ventures virtual, simulated or realand/or paying out dividends or similar capital profits will be banned from the service, the money confiscated and, where possible, returned to the original avatars and possibly there will be real life action taken if any fraud can be seen to have been perpetrated.

In short, don't do it. It doesn't pay."

This grid seems to baby sit the players to the point of stifling their own economy. No virtual marketplace, which was once a 3rd party piece of SL that helped create brand awareness among other just...simply bad business practices for a virtual world. And they wonder why sims are being abandoned en masse?

Call to Grow Up

Since being back into the trading game, I have gone back to my regular routine of research and development. I read everything, but I can't say I always comment. Today, after reading the thread in BSC and reading one of APT's new posting, I must say, some people here just need to grow up. Who trades under what name with their money is no one's business. ALL of us here are under different names than our real ones so technically, we are all alts. There is a difference between having your opinion of another company than actual mudslinging to cause the failure of said company. Stating what you believe is fine and welcome but purposely creating movements to hinder production is just plain wrong and I promise you, karma will put a foot to your rear soon enough.

We all come here, CEO and trader alike, to make money. We all have different ways of making money. However, at the end of the day, without collective effort, we all fail. If you remember correctly, this type of behavior is what led to the falter of many a company and many an exchange. Cut the BS people. Keep it business. Keep it ethical. No one cares about your personal feelings as nothing here should be personal. This is business. Leave your emotions on the other side of your IP address.

Capital Exchange Suggestions » Monthly Status Reports and Share Locks
Monthly Status Reports and Share Locks
I think a company should be required to post at least once a month. Even if it is just to say, "our sims are at capacity so business is good" or "tireless work on new products" or anything that just gives progress. It's not fluff. It's effective communication with the people that entrusted their money with you.

Also, since I have seen this whined about a few times over the last month, perhaps there can be a way for CEOs to lock shares given from the treasury that they don't want sold. Such as a Board of Director or share matching with employees.

Re: Monthly Status Reports and Share Locks
I remember that meeting well. It was the beginning of the Second Life Chamber of Commerce, which of course is no longer in existence due to Luke. There are no doubts in my mind that Skip is nothing like Luke. At least, I don't get that vibe and with just about anyone in SL Finance controlling platforms, I position myself to prepare for the worst if it comes.

However, just like you can't blame guns for murder, you can't blame free market for theft. You blame the murderers and the thieves not the device used.

Blue Diamond Virtual Reit » BDVR Board Evaluation and Next Steps
Re: BDVR Board Evaluation and Next Steps
A few questions about the next steps:

A. How do you plan to double income on existing property? What will be the change to cause this increase?
B. What exactly would the SPO be used to fund?
D. Will the satellite office serve a true purpose or would just increasing traffic efforts at the main office be more feasible and cost effective?
E. What marketing plan is in the works that will take 2 months to develop?
G. Is the third income stream in line with the first two to offer streamlined services?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Your breakdown just reminded me how the value of the USD has dropped. Too bad you aren't in the state. I could get all of that for about 70% less than you pay for it. Do you know what your average hashes would be for that?

Nestler Investments Corporation » Bitcoin mining for NIC?
Re: Bitcoin mining for NIC?
The thing that scares me about this is that there are tons of other companies here wishing to do the same thing via SPO. With so many SPOs going on, I'm not sure how that will do for the exchange collectively. I like the idea but I would wonder if this can be done without the need of an SPO.

General Investment Discussion » Should companies in Sl behave differently with regards to financing of growth
Re: Should companies in Sl behave differently with regards to financing of growt
Sekioh,

I can't speak for anyone else but my post was not about you directly. It was more about what I see across the board from tons of companies. Certain standards have been set and it seems that immediate talk of SPO is one of them You aren't the only company that has done that so don't feel bad at all. Legolas and I have been around since investing in SL was just a thought in the eyes of people so, we may be privy to more scenario information that some.

The issue that comes about in SPOs....and I admit guilt in having done this myself during an SPO on World Stock Exchange for sim expansion in L&L Rentals and Sales, is that in order for the CEO to retain majority share, or in the case that is done these days, over 50%, they not only have to create the shares to be sold but they also have to create shares to put in their own pocket. This is what makes me against SPOs. Has that CEO earned the additional shares or is this an admin move to secure majority share or 50%? What happens usually, is that the CEO dilutes the shares of shareholders while boosting his own portfolio. If CEOs didn't do this, then SPOing wouldn't be as bad, I think.

After the one SPO I did, that mind you, I was encouraged to do by the CEO of World Stock Exchange to help boost volume since I was one of the first 5 companies there, I don't remember doing one again with any of the companies because, when the point came that the company was not profitable enough to stand from the banking rebound, it would be unfair to ask for more money to save a failing company versus expansion of a profitable one.

I agree with Legolas on the 1 year stipulation. Six months doesn't seem like enough time for a company to get their feet wet in the seasons of change in SL. Summer usually brings slow returns while fall and winter are typically higher, Spring starts to taper off a bit going into summer. How can a company know if they are truly what they say they are if they have not weathered the seasons? A company doing great in the summer may not make the cut in the fall and winter as that is the point when competition is at its strongest with more people being online as it get colder. Will that company posting record income in July still be doing that in December? You never know.
