General Investment Discussion » High volume trade without crash the market
Re: High volume trade without crash the market
There is absolutely no harm in "crashing" the market. There is a simple outcome:
Good companies' share price will recover, the one of bad companies probably won't, but at least they will be traded at a more realistic price then.

Regarding the website: In a lot of cases you will be able to sell your shares easily at double or triple bid price of that company.

Capital Exchange Suggestions » IPO start hours
Re: IPO start hours
Well, it sounds like a business idea for the brokerage services. Pass your request to someone who is online at IPO starting time and let transfer the shares to you after completing IPO. It's a bit more expensive (private transcation + brokerage fee), but you would get your desires slice of the pie.

Cecil, what are your plans for VSIF? What is wrong with the Delgado-Plan in your eyes?

Re: News Story: CEO / Fund Manager Election - VSIF
Congrats, Legolas!

Maybe it's time to think seriously about the future of VSIF, as noone besides the new CEO voted for him.

The shareholders base of this fund is totally dead or desinterested. I think liquidation or merging into another fund would be reasonable.

Let's see how the BOD will look ...

Company Avatar selling below NAV

What is the reason for selling 17110 shares of VSIF Resident at 1.02 L$ when the presented NAV is 1.05 L$?

In your financial report you calculate NAV across all shares (outstanding and treasury). That means VSIF Resident owned shares of a value of 59964.48 L$ before the sale at 1.02 and 41938,97 L$ afterwards. That makes a difference of 18015.51 L$, of which only 17452.2 L$ were covered by the sale. I am just curious what is the reason for taking that 563 L$ loss, other than VSIF might be in need of cash?
