And by the way, this is not a forum for the trouble, what ADS has with some investors. there are enough forums at this time.

Grrrr, I could be a tiger and biting. Please, we as Boot investors we own the company and on this way we must find good ideas, so that Boot comes back. Our skipper has had a problem in the past, everyone read that, and now..... A ship with a skipper cant sailing alone one the ocean, the crew must help him.

Now I am ready, frustrated and worry about some people of the crew......

Bye for now and a good day,

Re: Call for a shareholder meeting http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/7948 To ban ppl from forum because they express their opinion is just plain ridiculous. Such behavior doesnt belong in democratic countrys or forums.

Since you think highly about your competence and damn good at business perhaps a little more mature attitude would fit.

I do like the idea though as I have used it in the past and people did seem to like it. Perhaps I will put a couple of designs out in 3d in the new release section as you suggest. As long as I don't put too many out the prims wont be too heavy. Any other ideas IM me anytime. I am always happy to hear any suggestions that will bring in more business.

Great work, congratiolations :-) http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/7930 I looked around at the new store and it was fantastic, that is a store costumers like:-)
But I have a small problem only, it can be a good or bad idea of myself. Look, as a costumer I love it to see the new collections first than the other ones. When I see the new ones as a 3D model then I say: "Wow, that is it". And if I like the new one I buying not only this, no, I am looking for more and buying this and that too.
Many friends shopping at the same way and they told to me: "Look how this company works for good disigns".

Hope my idea is not to bad and I am glad to hear what you mean about this, if you have time :-)

Business has been slow, but this tends to happen during spring break when more people spend time outside then in front of their computers. Consecutive slow months however are not good for business which directly effects my real life bill paying ability. That's why I have spent the last two weeks working on not only several new designs but new vendors, new signs, new displays and an entirely new store. The best part is that it is almost done. The new store will be easier for customers to shop and a more open and friendly environment which I believe will promote more sales. It took a lot of time and money but I am hoping this is just the investment needed to bring Bootgasm back into the black. Keep your eye on notices for the new store reveal.

Linden Labs was actually able to keep the Bootgasm sim up and running for all 31 days this month, a complete shock based on what they did to us last month. This incredible task has allowed us to actually run business as usual. Bootgasm brought in good revenue but not as good as it should have been for Christmas time. The November attack on our sim and vendors seem to have had a lasting effect. Those 8 days being down cost us some new and old customers but we are working hard to remedy that with some new advertising campaigns and several new winter designs that were recently released. This month's profits were put towards our negative balance from last month and as profits go up we should be back in the black in no time.

Re: Financial Reports for November 2012 http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/5958
Bootgasm took not just one, but two hard hits in the month of November, back to back. It began 5am November 13th with LL's rolling restarts which caused my entire sim to go phantom. Every prim on the sim from the vendors to the store itself were completely phantom. My store is not located on the ground but elevated up. This caused every person teleporting into the store to immediately fall through the floor to the ground below. Existing customers IM'd me in panic and new customers simply left and did not return. After several tickets and a whole lot of back and forth between the Lindens and I, they finally got things back from phantom to normal so customers could walk again.

This solution however only brought more problems. Although customers could land and walk around the sim again, no scripts would work and teleport problems were happening left and right. All scripted items said they were located on a different sim called CCMTEST8 and nothing would work. A sim which didn't even exist but was apparently put in place for LL to test stuff. Another support ticket was filed and after several days of back and forth this is the Linden response -

11/17/12
"I am really sorry about all this and have been working with another department to investigate these issues. We should have both of these issues resolved now. The issue with the two different servers was caused by CCMTEST8 on the aditi grid somehow interacting with your sim in a very strange way. The developers were able to find an internal Jira on this issue and even better, was able to shut CCMTEST8 down so that it doesn't interfere with your sim or vendor system again. That was an extremely rare instance and I deeply apologize for the inconvenience.

The other issue with the phantom prims is another known issue happening this week. We discovered that disabling the collisions option on the sim causes the phantom issue since the last rolling restart. I have since enabled collisions on your sim and restarted it to stop the phantom prims. Again, I cannot tell you how sorry I am for this mishap. I can only hope these actions have cleared up these issues. Please let me know if you have further issues or questions."

It's now been 4 days of customers not being able to walk and then not being able to shop. Now all is back up and running as usual right? Wrong. It seems that in the midst of this entire issue our vendor system BSM (Bejamble Sales Monitor) made the decision to relocate their main servers to a new company, what was supposed to take 24 hours. Instead it took 4 days. During this time, customers could come to the store and look around and have a great time. They just couldn't buy anything. Vendor menu's weren't accessible and servers wouldn't deliver products. Affiliate vendors were useless as well.

The sim and or vendors were offline for approx 8 days and it hit Bootgasm hard. Being down for just over a week we lost 25% of our income for November. Bills still have to be paid however. Due to the major drop in income, payroll was used to cover all sim and advertising expenses to keep things running. This will have to be paid back in the coming months until it has been fully reimbursed. Which means as of this moment we are operating in the red. This negative bottom line isn't simply a business issue, it's a personal issue for me. This is my RL job and if there is no payroll my RL bills do not get paid. Being the holidays only makes it harder.

I am confident however that things will bounce back. I will be working that much harder to increase total sales. Then debts will be paid and we will be back in the black in no time.

Summer months were a little tough as expected in SL with people spending more time in RL and less time in SL during this time period. Less customers and the same amount of business competing for them means we had to increase our advertising budget to be sure they shopped with us and not our competitors. With summer past and fall upon us now it is the season of boots and we expect sales to reflect it in the coming months.

I am also working on redoing all past designs to include this script as well. With almost 2000 pairs of boots and shoes and each pair consisting of 2-6 pieces for v1 & 2-6 pieces for v2 viewers there are literally thousands of pieces that I am working on. Each piece of each boot has to be rezzed, rescripted and reboxed, then uploaded to my servers, so it is a rather extensive project. I am working on one section at a time and just finished our men's and women's western collections last night. When all departments are completed I will send out a group notice to all of my customers. I expect the completion of this major project to bring in a whole new market of customers that will be able to wear Bootgasm boots!!!

Which is a shame really, I like to encouraging a fluid day trade, it’s good for other stocks funds on the “ripple”.

Like Garry so aptly pointed out in another thread ”This is a dealing game” a 4 cent spread on the paper is like having coffee at the OK corral, pre the Earp’s tuning up.

Re: Flow Stoppers http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/6473
I can do no more than make an educated guess, but it appears to me that the most likely answer is that some shareholder(s) had higher expectations for BOOT at the time they bought their shares than they have now.
With BOOT everything is going fine (or that is my impression), and to me BOOT still holds the promise of increasing success/profit.

However the only cure for some shareholders losing their patience, and putting their shares on the market is for others that have more confidence and patience to buy those shares.

Re: Financial Reports for 2nd Quarter 2012 http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/5958
REVENUES (Mainstore Sales, Marketplace Sales, Affiliate Sales)
-----------------------------------------------
April Revenue - $980,661
May Revenue - $994,805
June Revenue - $979,260

Total 2nd Quarter Revenue - $2,954,726

EXPENSES (Advertising, Fees & Payroll Costs)
-----------------------------------------------
April Expense - $868,210
May Expense - $893,210
June Expense - $868,210

Total 2nd Quarter Expense - $2,629,630

BOOT 2nd Quarter Profit - $325,096

BOOT 2nd Quarter Dividends Paid - $201,595

We are very excited about the growth that Bootgasm has had in this last quarter. Not only did we open up two new departments (women's & men's shoes) but we also launched www.bootgasm.com which includes all of our designs with pictures and links to the marketplace listing for direct purchase. With the launch of these two new major additions to the Bootgasm brand we are expecting sales to only increase each month now. Bootgasm has been a profitable company since its opening in 2008 and it's 4 year history of success will only continue.

IPO funds were used as discussed in our IPO application to create these new departments and each and every design in them. We were also able to expand our existing women's boot department and more than double our inventory in our men's boot department. We also were able to design and implement bootgasm.com, a place where all our customers existing and potential can come to browse our entire collection of boots and shoes and even purchase on the marketplace using included site links. Remaining funds were spent on advertising in multiple venues to really expand the bootgasm brand even further.

News Story: Bootgasm Has Shoes http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/6372
The Women's Shoe Department is located at the end of the hall, last door on the left and hosts a large variety of shoes from low top canvas casual to sexy high heels complete with huds that operate skin colors, toenail colors, heel sounds, etc.

The Men's Shoe Department can be found connecting to our Men's Boot Department. Second door on the right and has casual canvas, to skater, to formal wear and tuxedo style dress shoes. This is only the beginning for these new departments and we will be adding more designs every few weeks in our usual Bootgasm style.

Our IPO here at CAPEX enabled me to set this last month aside to focus 100% on this new venture and I am grateful to Skip Oceanlane and all of our shareholders for contributing to the success of the biggest and best boot (and shoe) store in all of SL!!!

The only question now is, what's next? Well, I have several projects in the works and will be tackling one thing at a time in our continued expansion. Keep your eye out for notices and updates.

As far as where is Boots site, this was addressed in an earlier forum question during the IPO. Bootgasm.com is secured for future development. My projects in the store are my priority. In my line of business, very few people actually go to .com websites to find a pair of boots in SL, they like to shop the store in world with friends. Perhaps it's easier to just copy and paste the original response
"My website is currently offline and I am aware of it. I acquired it some time ago as an investment in the future of Bootgasm. I have not currently developed it as I spend all of my time developing the products, taking care of the store and our customers. It's time will come soon enough." Hope this answers your question and helps settle your nerves.

That being said, tomorrow BOOT will post our first monthly dividend from our May profits. This way our shareholders can stay up to date with how BOOT is doing on a more regular basis. Dividends will be posted in the first week of each month based on the previous months profits. BOOT profits have been steady for years but with the addition of our new departments (opening in the month of June) we expect profits to steadily increase. Thank you to all of our shareholders and customers for making Bootgasm great.

BOOT IPO Sold L$1,000,000 So Far, 116 Different Investors! http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/6053
I am happy to announce that Bootgasm (BOOT) has now sold more than L$1,000,000 of their Initial Public Offering (IPO) of stock since Monday. This accounts for over 40% of the total amount they wish to sell. 116 different investors have chosen to buy shares so far - I think that is the most number of different investors purchasing shares for any company selling L$1,000,000 of new IPO shares since I took over Capital Exchange. This is good news for shareholders that wish to trade after the IPO ends, because the more people that own shares, the more active movement of buying and selling should occur. I expect this IPO buying spree to continue!

Re: IPO Application Submitted - Bootgasm (BOOT) http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/5920
1. Why come to CAPX when I generate plenty of income on my own. It is not simply about money. If you have ever watched "Shark Tank" a reality investment show you will see that a majority of the people that speak to these investors are not just looking for the capitol but the relationships to take their company to the next level. I believe in partnering with CAPX it will do that with Bootgasm. CAPX is absolutely great exposure. With over 17k registered users the opportunity to reach out to all of those investors and show them what my business is all about is a huge advantage for any company.

2. My website is currently offline and I am aware of it. I acquired it some time ago as an investment in the future of Bootgasm. I have not currently developed it as I spend all of my time developing the products, taking care of the store and our customers. It's time will come soon enough.

3. I am already running both worlds in terms of advertising my business. The brick and mortar stores always prove to be the most effective. Believe it or not many SL users still do not use the marketplace and actually enjoy walking around and shopping with their friends in world. I would never eliminate that option as I believe it would crush our brand. Our marketplace has been active since the store's opening in 2008 with over 1500 of our products listed there and will remain so.
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/24787
We also spend tens of thousands of dollars every month on listing enhancements on different products each month to find new customers. Let's be honest, the marketplace is flooded with garbage products selling for almost no money and it takes the average user a good amount of sifting to find the good products so those enhancement costs are not only effective but necessary.

*In addition to our in world main store and online marketplace listings we also have over 500 affiliates with only God knows how many total stores with zero expense to Bootgasm.

IPO has been approved and Bootgasm will list with CAPX, I look forward to aligning with some great investors!!!!

Re: IPO Application Submitted - Bootgasm (BOOT) http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/5920
Brand recognition is everything in the boot/shoe world. It's not just about boots or shoes being pretty but also about what name they hold. It's why Nike it still the top selling shoe in the world. When I was in high school I would only buy Nike because if you didn't have the newest "name brand" design you weren't cool, and the others would simply fall apart in a couple months of use. But that's not the only reason Nike sells so many shoes. I buy them for my kids now, because if I have ten brand names to choose from, I know that they will bring solid quality and great design and will not fall apart like others.

This is some of what Bootgasm brings to the boot/shoe market. Of course SL boots don't fall apart, but they do in a sense. Scripts become outdated and viewers change. With each change in SL, Bootgasm adapts and continues to provide its customers with the newest best stuff out. Resize scripts used to contain hundreds of scripts, one in every prim. When the single script resizer came out we redid every single pair of our designs over 1000 sets of boots at the time. When the alpha masks came out, we redid our entire inventory again, over 1500 at that time, to include v1 & v2 compatible designs. With every update came a mailout to all of our customers to come by the store and get your free updated versions of your favorite purchased boots. We made no additional money from offering these upgrades, we do this to show our customers that every one of them is important to us and customer care is our top priority. Times change, scripts change, viewers change, other businesses will come and go, Bootgasm is permanent and our proven business success shows it.

Imagine the number one name in boots expands its market into a line of not only high end shoes, but sneakers, deck shoes, etc. Especially when we market our new venture to our 30,000 customer mailing list and 8,000 SL group members. How many of our 100% satisfied customers are coming in to buy some new shoes. How many are no longer going to buy from competitors they have been buying from because Bootgasm did not previously offer these styles and now do. Now they can come not only for boots, but shoes, sneakers, sandals, anything foot related. I suppose the real question is ....... how are our competitors going to protect their market share against us?

Re: IPO Application Submitted - Bootgasm (BOOT) http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/5920
The market for ladies footwear is never saturated, take a stroll along your local shopping center and you'll see :). The only limiting factor is spending capacity, other than that, many many women are little Imelda's :)
As for the market share thing, Bootgasm doesn't have a market share in shoes, only in boots. So yes, while there's a boots market share to protect (something Tad has been practicing for a long time), there's a large market in non-boot footwear that Bootgasm wants to penetrate, and in my view, they're in an excellent position to try to do that.

kind regards,
Marishka

(edit: Imelda was a tongue in cheek reference to the wife of former Philippines dictator Marcos, who allegedly owned 5,000 pairs of shoes)

Re: IPO Application Submitted - Bootgasm (BOOT) http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/BOOT/5920 1. You wish to expand but already have a high volume of retail activity; how far is the market for your products from being saturated?
2. How will you protect your market share against competitors?

thank you,
Troy

I think investors should take note of this. Full time businesses can be great investments, as the owner already has put in a vote of confidence. Also, imagine what you can achieve in that time and with so much passion.

My only concern is how do you stay sane rofl. I know from working full time in ADS the clock spins round randomly. I found myself eating breakfast in the evening the other day.

Oh, and just in case anyone doesn't know. Bootgasm is a very well known and longstanding brand with a large affiliate network and following.

Anyway, good luck with the IPO!
