Re: VSIF Profitability for November, 2012 http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/VSIF/7144
Net Income from Sales: L$ 9,479.16
Dividends Received: L$ 6,331.61
Total Net Income: L$ 15,810.77

That put our earnings at L$ 0.0190 per share, and I had allocated L$ 9,000 at that point for the month's dividend payout.

For those who are interested in NAV figures:

Based upon total cash and the actual cost of stocks held:
L$ 0.9896 per share.

Based upon total cash and portfolio market value:
L$ 1.5139 per share.

The large difference between actual cost vs. market value is due primarily to the spread between the actual cost of 47,803 treasury shares of VSIF, and the then-current asking price of L$ 4.17/share.

Also, for those who are specifically interested, here are the total number of shares held in the VSIF portfolio, and their overall cost, at that time:
ADS 5,000
BOOT 8,906
DFH 45,418
EDMO 37,000
EVO 54,120
GXY 4,994
OIG 10,000
OMG 33,000
RPG 11,000
SEC 203,931
SLG 37,850
VSIF 47,807*
VTM 2,500

* Locked VSIF Treasury Shares

Total Current Cost of Shares Held: L$ 427,965.50

For additional results since that date, please contact Ferre Howlett.

That is incorrect. The 60,000 shares locked are Owner Shares. They are locked until/if you pay to unlock them. The shares that are temporarily locked because they were reclaimed from people who were deemed inactive were included in the regular trading shares number.

As far as I know, "locked shares" at Capex is a qualification reserved for owner shares that were acquired at IPO.
How can VSIF have company owned treasury shares that are "locked"?
Were those shares not bought off the market?

First of all I wish to thank farqot and skip in making this a smooth transfer.

I also want to thank those who gave their support in voting for me.

As u all might know I’m also CEO and majority shareholder of verballis translations service but I have no intentions of merge ring the 2 companies .i know that VBL also holds a nice portfolio of stock however the VBL fund is based on long-term holdings and doesn’t do much day trading ,with VSIF I will actively do day trading. therefore they won’t interrupt each other.

Dividend policy will not change for the remainder of the year, early January the BOD and me will review current policy.

The logo ,tagline and even the name/ ticker symbol with change as soon as possible.

Re: News Story: The Torch is Passed at VSIF... http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/VSIF/7159
Please note that you remain CEO of Virtual Stocks Invest. Fund (VSIF) until you hold a shareholders meeting CEO vote or CEO vote here in the forum as per our rules to elect a new CEO. The 60,000 shares you control are locked Owner Shares, and belong to the VSIF company CEO. If another CEO is elected, those shares go under his or her control. There are also 48,312 VSIF shares locked that were reclaimed from others whose control will be passed to a new CEO as well.

I recommend you conduct a CEO vote here in the forum for 7 days as per our rules. At that point, whoever is elected the new CEO can immediately take over. Notifying all VSIF shareholders of what is happening is highly recommended. I also recommend you make arrangements to transfer the Owner Shares to the new CEO in exchange for tradable shares. Any questions, please ask. Thank you and best of luck.

Multiple Companies Halted For Not Filing Q2 Financials http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/VSIF/6684
Our rules state that listed companies must file Quarterly Financial Statements. These statements must be posted on April 20, July 20, October 20, and January 20. When a listed company CEO does not file by the cutoff date, I give a 10-day additional grace period to post the late financials. If after 30 days from the end of the reporting period a Quarterly Financial Statement still isn't filed, trading will be halted.

In early 2011, I was often lenient in allowing extra time to file, however I feel that giving 30 days is more than enough time for a company to file a Quarterly Financial Statement at this point. Newly listed companies within 30 days of the filing cutoff have the option of filing the first financial in the next filing period.

The following companies have not filed 2nd Quarter Financial Statements as of today, and trading is halted until further notice until they properly post their Quarterly Financial Statements:

(BSC) Black Swan Capital
(FAC) Fairey Angel Creations
(GDI) GDInc.
(ICE) Int'l Currency Exchange
(IEF) SL Income & Equity Fund
(RDX) Redux Technologies
(NIC) Nestler Investment Corp.
(YSL) Yanko Sella Land Company
(VSIF) Virtual Stocks Investment Fund

As our rules state, accounts of CEO's and company alts will be put on hold, until the trading halt for their company/companies is/are lifted. I encourage all CEO's to please post Quarterly Financial Statements as soon as possible. If anyone thinks I have forgot to halt a company for non-compliance, please contact me privately. Thank you.

I have asked Rusty Roar to clarify that he is voting for Farqot Gustafson for CEO. If that is the case, the vote will be considered closed since there is now a majority for one candidate, and it's been 7 days. At that point, Farqot will be elected CEO and can go forward. Thank you.

Re: News Story: Election of a new CEO for VSIF http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/VSIF/6167
My apologies for not answering this sooner. My plan with dividends to pay half of all profits out as dividends (preferably to the L$ 0.01), and to retain the rest for additional investments.

I mention preferably down to the "Linden cent" because small shareholders tend to get the short end of payments when long decimal figures are used, and I would like to avoid that. Any small amounts short of the exact half would be held for the next month, and paid out at that time.

Hopefully, this answers your question to your satisfaction.

My vision and plans for VSIF http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/VSIF/6173
DFH started with an initial investment of L$ 349k from 8 investors, and currently has 15 investors holding shares worth just over L$ 845k. From an initial share price of L$ 1.00, the current NAV is just over L$ 1.28/share. This is after losses along the way with ACE, BCX, MNM, and a host of companies traded on the SL exchanges that a lot of you have probably never heard of. Needless to say, I've been doing this for 5 years, and am committed to trading on SL CapEx for the long term.

While most of my success has been accomplished through day trading, my long term commitment to the exchange has brought about an increased interest in holding stocks for an extended period of time—again, for the long term.

When I was told that the VSIF CEO shares were coming available, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase them from Legalos Delgado. Between his recent successes with VSIF, and his previous ones with CapEx:KDC, I knew I would be taking on a good operation.

I do *not* intend to make any radical changes to VSIF, but keep a successful record going. I don't pretend that I'll make everyone perfectly happy from "day one", but I think that shareholders will be pleased with the overall results over the next few months.

As for transparency, here is my RL information:
RL/SL Name: Jon Stevens (SL:Farqot Gustafson)
RL Location: South Bend, Indiana USA
e-Mail: farqot.gustafson@gmail.com

I'm happy to hear from anyone, and to answer any questions that I can. Let's have some fun, and make some money, shall we...?

Only 100 shares in the index portfolio, so I don't really count, but doesn't it seem a good idea to provide an agenda as the incoming CEO? Or a statement that the fund's policies will remain as they are, or whatever?

Temporary Change in CEO for VSIF http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/VSIF/6142
Please be advised that Legolas Delgado has sold all his Owner Shares in the Virtual Stock Investment Fund (VSIF) to the avatar of DFH Westland, which is the company alt of Farqot Gustafson. Farqot Gustafson is CEO of the private investment fund of Digital Financial Holdings Cooperative, and he has been designated the temporary CEO of VSIF.

I have instructed Farqot Gustafson to hold a shareholders vote for CEO within 30 days of this announcement. To be elected CEO of VSIF, a CEO candidate must obtain 50% of the total voting shares plus 1, which in this case is 743,237 shares divided by 2, plus 1 share = 371,619 shares. I came to this number the following way:

Total Shares Of VSIF: 832,687
CSV Republic Shares: 41,739 (Sigma Stock Fund)
VSIF Resident Shares: 47,712 (Treasury Shares)
Total Voting Shares: 743,236
50% Of Voting Shares: 371,618
Majority Of Shares: 371,619

Note that the 189,400 shares held by DFH Westland are locked Owner Shares and cannot be openly traded currently, however they can be voted.

So with being said, congratulations to Farqot Gustafson/DFH Westland and Digital Financial Holdings Cooperative on obtaining shares in one of the strongest stock funds listed on Capital Exchange. I will hands things off to Farqot at this point to hold the CEO vote as per our exchange rules. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you and best of luck to everyone at VSIF.

News on GMC and VSIF http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/VSIF/6141
Farqot Gustafson has bought my CEO shares in VSIF.

VSIF will be holding a CEO vote within the next 30 days. In the meantime, all assets will be transferred over to Farqot.

Kafka Frugal has bought my majority holdings in GMC.

I am still going to be acting CEO for a minimum nine months for GMC per my agreement with Kafka. After nine months we will decide how to move forward based on my real life situation.

I would like to make it clear that me making these sales is not a reflection on the exchange, in fact I am disappointed that I am going to miss out on what appears to be the next wave of growth here at CapEx. But financially I am going to need as much cash on hand in real life as I can muster.

I am sure there will be questions, so if you have any feel free to post in the forum.

-Sincerely
Legolas Delgado

"Like GMC, VSIF will have a base buy back of L$50,000 at NAV or in VSIFs case, always at L$1. This will give shareholders liquidity and hopefully confidence in my determination to make this fund successful."

To keep the 50k buy back, 50k needs to be held on reserve.

Either way, a new finacial update and dividend will be posted today.

Re: News Story: Financial Update - VSIF http://slcapex.com/forums/topic/VSIF/5622
Who or what forces you to wait until you can pay a "full" dividend? A fund with a clear policy that has high dividends as its goal shouldn't be hoarding cash until it can pay a "full" dividend.
In doing so, you're defeating the sole purpose of the fund all by yourself.

from the "Delgado Plan":
"All profit above the base NAV value will be declared as a dividend. This means all dividends earned from investments will be returned to shareholders given the NAV is above L$1.00. I will actively be evaluating the assets that VSIF currently holds and selling off the ones that I believe are overpriced. When this happens the net profit from the sale will be added to the monthly dividend."

You'd do your shareholders a favour if you just stick to the plan.
It says monthly dividends, nothing about hoarding cash above 50k.

Here is how the portfolio currently looks. The 90 day average system is used for evaluation.
Cash—L$64,518.70
ADS—25,000.00--26495.00
BOTS—100,000.00--120,940.00

VGW--42,109.00--41,654.22
VSIF--39,831.00--41,818.57

Total value = 869,602.13 (Value does not include VSIF shares held as treasury)
Total public shares = 792,856
NAV = 869,602.13/792,856 = 1.096797

I would like to point out that those of you who have been buying shares below 1.0967 are doing well for yourselves. As is clear by the listed cash amount, VSIF does not currently have the L$s available to issue a full dividend. A full dividend would require L$80,601.65 above the minimum reserve of L$50,000. As soon as I can sell off either all of SLG or some of SLG and all of SAS, I will post a full dividend.
